I came to real estate in 2004 with a varied background which I feel serves my clients (and me) well to help us navigate the process of buying or selling property.
First and foremost, I'm a homeowner. In my life, I've owned 8 properties (not a huge number, but more than many). I've bought in buyers' markets and sellers' markets -- I've sold in those markets, as well. I've owned condominiums and single family homes. My husband and I bought our current home after 6 unsuccessful bidding wars on other properties -- so I know the pain and disappointment of getting out bid repeatedly. But, I will tell you that every home I have lived in was the right home for me and my loved ones when I owned it.
Before real estate, I worked in high tech (Microsoft and Digital Equipment Corporation, to name a couple), as a business owner (computer & network equipment sales / software development / web hosting / web site design), retail sales, insurance claims, and a teacher of special needs children. I also sold cars (yeah, I know, cliché) -- Mercedes Benz and BMW (and a few others). That particular experience, though, has come to be immensely useful when negotiating for the buyers and sellers I have worked with. All of this experience, as diverse as it has been, helps me to provide excellence and clarity in all my dealings.
